Wow, what a wonderfull web site you both have. I loved the way things just unfolded for you guys,that Is definiatly God's hand right there leading the two of you, together..Kind of like how my wedding day went.(Rod just ask Leon about how things just fell Into place for Scott and I,God had Leon help us out,kool!!) your story sounds like things just fell into place and you did not know what was going to happen next right??? WOW yes, the Lord will provide. This website is a testament to that fact. I am very impressed with both the content and construction of this website. I am too on my quest for a K1 visa for my fiance and what an inspiration this has been for me. You cracked us up with Jen's first driving lesson!Ann's passed her written. We're doing the road work now. The day we laughed at your site, she grounded about a 1/2" off the clutch of her Mitsubishi Mirage while restarting on something more than a "Florida hill" [hehehe]. We'll share the pictures/text of your carnival hustle with my 8-year old Ben. I've actually taught him how to spot rigged carny games. it is always the dad's role to assemble things for the baby. i have a 15 month old babygirl.Jen my advice is talk to your baby always.tell her to be a good girl.when i was pregnant that's what i always tell her and we are glad she is a good girl she sleeps through the night since day one.anyway,they say, girls are more independent you won't have a hard time taking care of. i am from polomolok been here in washington for 2yrs now. to jim postma...just be patient with your fiancee when it comes to weather in oregon.i am here in washington just north of you.geeh!my husband is confused... i will say it is cold then he turns on the heater then after awhile i will say it's very warm.hahahahaha!my husband asks which is which? good luck on your delivery Jen.always ask help from the Lord.He never fails....

Hi Rod and Jen Always enjoy reading your website and particularily the most recent update. You are certainly blessed with a beautiful daughter. Rod, I hope you were able to recover from such a long drive (What were you thinking???). I remember my dad taking our family on a cross country drive like that when I was young, and he said afterward he would never do it again. I talked with Emmy not too long ago and I know that she and mom are excited about coming to the states. To Rod & Jen. I guess I am the only one who had a different reason why I stumbled across your site. I was just curious if there is something I could find from my own family name. My maiden name is Provido and I am here in California. My dad is from Pototan Iloilo but I have never been there (except when I was 3 I think for my grandpa's funeral I think). I never knew a lot about my dad's side since I grew up in the Metro Manila Area. My grandpa is Ceferino Provido and my grandma is Jovita Pineda. I wonder Jen if you can ask your mom if she knows about them (of course I know it's also on your dad's side). I don't know much about my first cousins or my Uncle and Auntie's in my dad's side. By the way, you really have a great website and I am just so happy for your two. But the best thing that struck me to scan (for 2 days now) the site is the fact that you are both Christians. Hi! What a beautiful site. I was hoping to find some news and information about Dadiangas, General Santos City, when I accidentally found your site. I was born in Matutum, Polomolok, in 1961. I left the Philippines in 1989 to visit my sister in Luxembourg for a year and was lucky enough to find work in Belgium (which I started in 1992) as an English teacher to children 4 to 7 year olds. I've visited the Philippines in 1998 to pick up my mother to come and visit Europe for 6 months. I haven't been back to the Philippines since. I'm hoping to visit my family (now in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental) this coming Christmas and New Year 2006. My family left General Santos City for Negros in 1972. Oh, dear! That was 33 years ago!! I miss my friends and classmates at Buayan Elementary School. I miss Buayan Airport. I miss Dadiangas. . . and many childhood memories. Boy do those pictures bring back memories! Hi, my name is Warren Lesnick. I was actually trying to find some sort of information on the compound I grew up in and friends I used to have when I stumbled across your site and was drawn to it. I just had to read it. Well, here is a little history about my life. I spent most of my childhood living in Kalsangi, Polomolok,(I’m guessing you've heard of it) which is a compound owned by Dole Foods. The compound is surrounded by pineapple fields and sits at the base of Mt. Matutum. My dad was one of the few expats who worked for Dole and I enjoyed looking at the pictures you took while you were in Polomolok. My brothers, sisters (5 of us total)(yes we were a hand full and yes we had nannies. 2 of them), and I went to DPS, Dole Philippines School, which is in Kalsangi for 8 years. We moved there in 1990 when I was five and left in 1998. I am now 20 years old and I am a junior in college. Ever since we've left the Philippines I have been dying to go back. I’d like to say thank you for posting up your personal life for all to see. You have a wonderful family and I wish you all the best. I truly enjoyed the pictures and your comments. They made me think of all the memories I had there and now I am even more eager to get back and see the place and peopel I once called home.
